Network Coordination Centre (NCC)

Role

  • Provide real time incident management for Brisbane Transport Fleet Bus to optimise bus service continuity.
  • Provide on road support to the drivers and buses.

Services

The NCC manages three discrete functions:

  • Queen St Bus Station (QSBS) operational management.
  • On-road mobile response.
  • Bus Control.

QSBS responsibilities:

  • Safe operations of the bus station, including bus operators, passengers and general pedestrian traffic.
  • Vehicle separation and follow-up, and on-time service running.
  • Bus station evacuation coordination.  
  • Patron service-related information dissemination.
  • Passenger and roadway area monitoring.

On-road mobile response responsibilities:

  • Incident response (field). 
  • Infrastructure monitoring.

Bus Control responsibilities:

  • Operational communication centre for Brisbane Transport.
  • Bus network operational safety.
  • Special events coordination assistance. 
  • Critical incident management.
  • Nightlink co-ordination.

Hours of operation:

  • Monday to Thursday 4.45am to 1.00am.
  • Friday 4.45am to 12.30am Sunday.
